FAQ | GRH Hamburg

The Student Housing Council is a group of students living in the Gustav-Radbruch-Haus. We are enhancing the life in the dormitory and trying to solve any rising problems amongst the tenants with weekly meetings, a company-like structure and efficient approach towards projects.

On one hand we accumulate the requests of the tenants, discuss their problems with the house managers, find solutions and most of all try to enhance the social experience in the GRH. On the other hand, we proactively engage projects and events by carefully planning all parameters, distributing tasks to members and efficiently executing the fixated criteria.

As we cover strategic aims, we also operate in the day-to-day business, which encompass rentals, activity groups or various requests from tenants. The activity groups, of which we have many, depict one of our main pillars in the operational business, which get coordinated, financed and assisted by us.

The Student Housing Council is the link between the tenants and the house managers respectively the Studierendenwerk Hamburg and represents the common voice of the tenants. Since there are no special requirements to join the Student Housing Council, everybody can be part of this team to help creating a great atmosphere for all people residing in the Gustav-Radbruch-Haus.
